HypeIsReal is an independent concept store operated from Faro, Algarve, Portugal. We sell physical objects. We do not sell personal data and we do not run advertising on this site.

Who we are

The controller for personal data processed through this shop is HypeIsReal (trading name), operated from Faro, Algarve, Portugal. Legal entity name, NIF/VAT, and registered office will be published here before live checkout. Contact: hypeisreal@webs.cool. The store is not a marketplace for third-party sellers — orders are fulfilled by us.

What we collect

• Contact and newsletter emails you submit, plus an optional name and message.
• Checkout details needed to take payment and ship: name, email, delivery address, and order contents. Card data is handled by Stripe when hosted checkout is enabled — we do not store full card numbers.
• Cart contents stored against a cart id in your browser (localStorage) and on our Redis cart store.
• Preference cookies: language (webs_lang) and color mode (webs_design).
• Technical logs needed to run the site: IP address, user agent, timestamps, and security events.

Why we process it

We process this data to take and ship orders, to reply to you, to send the newsletter you asked for, to keep the shop secure, and to meet legal obligations (invoices, consumer rights, tax). Legal bases under GDPR: contract (orders), consent (newsletter, optional cookies), and legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, store operations).

Where it is stored

Data is stored on the HypeIsReal host environment (PostgreSQL, Redis). Emails may be sent through our mail proxy. Payments, when live, go through Stripe. We do not use your data to train advertising models.

Sharing

We do not sell lists. We share data only with processors who run payments, email, hosting, or shipping on our behalf, or if required by law. Carriers receive the address needed to deliver a parcel.

Retention

Orders and invoices are kept for the period Portuguese and EU tax and consumer law require. Newsletter records stay until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Carts expire. Server logs are rotated on a short cycle.

Your rights (EU / Portugal)

You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time. You can lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority (CNPD) or your local EU authority. Email hypeisreal@webs.cool with the subject “Privacy request”.

Children

The shop is intended for adults buying household objects. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
